I would like to thank you guys for such a wonderful piece of software, this is exactly what I have been looking for: an useful, open source tool for testing microarrays, manipulation networks and sequences and discovery techniques. It reminds me PathwayAssist and GeneGO, whcih a quite expensive for me... moreover I don't see any features that are not covered by BiologicalNetworks.
You may like to add a couple of things on to your list of things to do. First, I was looking for export formats of sequence data and could find only copy in text/tab-delimited format through Ctrl +C and Ctrl+V from tables and list... but can I export in FASTA format to run a quick BLAST search? Also, it would be very helpful if every editable field can be edited with Copy/Paste using right-click instead using Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V.
About Sequence import, I noticed that you support GenBank and FASTA formats for import. it would be great if BiologicalNEtworks could import sequence files generated at EMBL/EBI ind the EMBL format.
Also, i read the manual but it does not say how to add annotation to the sequence. e.g. in the sample seq human, 8 exon annotations are there, how to do that starting from a naked sequence?
thanks for a feedback and good suggestions regarding features.
About the sequence annotation, editing sequence etc. all the functionalities is already available at the back end so we will add these and other sequence features in the next release.
Developers should return to you about the FASTA format, and other Sequence imports.
